I've always been able to feel my soft lens if it's gone astray in my eye. Sometimes they are hard to remove if they are dry, so I blink, or think about something sad to make me cry. Check with your optician to be on the safe side. nell

That's never happened to me, but why not go back to your optician today if that is practical?

It may have slipped up under your eyelid (this happened to me also. I had a bit of a panic, but it came down again!!!) You would probably feel it though. Otherwise you've lost it!!! Time will tell. I've been wearing soft lenses for years and these scenarios have happened twice - not bad considering. I've yet to try out the lenses that you can sleep in - are these the type you are using?

Thank you both. Not sure now that it is even still there!! I have put my glasses on and can see the same out of both eyes, if you know what i mean!! I usually wear hard contacts, but have been trying soft ones that you should be able to leave in for a month. The first day I wore them I had to go to the eye hospital as I had scratched the cornea. This is the first time I have tried them again since then - what a nightmare. Have worn my hard ones for 20 years without a problem, it is just annoying having to put them in and out, but after this might have to go back to them.

I've had this happen - very frustrating!!! My advice is to put a liberal amount of contact lens solution in your eye and wait a couple of minutes. Don't use water!! I find that plain water tends to make the lens "dry" and stick to your eye like glue!!! Good Luck!! Kylie

Carol, I can never take mine out if i have long nails. Can you try putting a couple of drops of cleaning solution in your eye? That might loosen it. Or if not just water. Pat

Hi, trying to remove my right contact lens, just won't budge and is making my eye sore. last time i managed to scratch my cornea - don't want to do that again!! any tips?? carol
