wHEN ALL OUR BOYS WERE SMALL I remember waking every morning to that distinct sound of Lego being scrabbled round and round in the metal biscuit tins we kept it in as they searched for just the right piece. Happy Days Rose

We were at our daughter's (16) field hockey game. They won 4 - 0. It's nice to see teenagers still in involved in sports. The fields that we were at were packed with children of all ages playing a variety of sports. I love the weekends as I look forward to her games.

Playmobil took over the living room today. We had knights and horses this time and a castle to defend. I love to see children playing with something that uses their imagination rather than them just press a button or flick a switch.

I'm at home 'playing' with my children LOL two teenage boys each with wireless connected laptops. I'm talking to them on Messenger - HAHAHA - get more out of them that way than face to face! What's worse is that hubs is sat by the side of me at HIS laptop, doing his bank statement. B**** awful weather again AND the beginning of half term! xxxA

My five year old has just been painting some wonderful pictures. There's one of me - big purple head, yellow hair, nose like a snout and one blue eye running down my cheek. By the way, that's the description of his painting not how I really look! Sadly he told me that his painting of me is much prettier than how I really look. Worrying! :-)) Lx

I had a friend who when she was a teenager, had a boyfriend called Martin. He came to collect her one afternoon and she showed him into the front room while she went upstairs to get herself ready. Martin settled down with her younger brother's meccano set and began to fiddle with it. Her mum came into the room and said "Oh, Martin, have you achieved an erection yet?" nell

I need a rest every so often, as he likes climbing on me whilst we're building!

I finished work early today, so I'm having a lego afternoon with my son - building planes, walls and bridges. Is anyone else having a good time playing with their children or grandchildren today?
