hi heather just been googling as well.....yep your right it was an early form of penicillin........

Hi Jean I've been googling and it seems that M&B tablets were an early type of penicillin made by May and Baker. My dad was given these when he had pneumonia in the early 50s. Heather

Think they were named after the manufacturers May and Baker....have no idea what was in them though! Dee x
