Do you really believe Labour's claim, that we need more casinos in this country? Personally I think it will cause nothing but misery. But there, it's another way of getting more money into the government coffers. Jo.

The government may make money from casino's, but the American owners will make even more!!! At least America has isolated places to put their casino's, here they'll be not far from residential areas. Makes you wonder just what sort of hold Bush /America has over Blair, doesn't it? maggie

What happened to free will? No one will be forced to gamble. I have never been dragged into a Bingo Hall... My feeling is that if anyone wants to go to hell in a handcart then that's fine by me.

I agree with you Bob, but the trouble is that gamblers drag others down with them. My ex-husband was a gambler (I'd had no idea), and to cut a very long story short he ended up with horrendous debts, which his creditors tried to pin on me too. He'd forged my signature amongst other things, and got a 2nd mortgage on our house at the time. Won't go into details about the rest! I for one am extremely angry at this stupid, STUPID move by the government, and will write to my M.P. about it. From a very grouchy GRRRRRRR Glenys x
