I'm really nervous. I don't want to fail but I have a tendency once I have moved my mirror for manouveres, I forget to move it back. That would be a fail surely! Grrr! I'm so scared!

Good luck! Have you had many lessons?

McDitzy Report 24 Oct 2004 17:42

I started learning in January in a manual. Did that for about six months, then I moved back home and decided on learning in an automatic. I know I can't drive a manual now, but I was having so much trouble going down the gears. The driving instructor I had in Bristol really took me for a ride. Didn't teach me anything really. Grrrr, a lot of money down the drain. Thanks for the good lucks, anyone fancy sending me a miracle though? ;-) PS, stay away from Chichester, West Sussex between 10:45 and 11:30 tomorrow!!

Thank you everyone. As for the record office in Chichester, I don't have any ancestors in Sussex! Typical really. All of the test centres are about 20 miles or so away from me. Chichester is the nicest place to learn out of Aldershot, Guildford and Portsmouth!! Thanks again. So nervous!!! PS - 25 years with a provisional..... you should go for it! One of my friends, who is so unconfident you would not believe, has started to learn to drive but she always puts herself down. Driving gives you so much more independence!

Chloe I've got mine on Tuesday.....and I'm a nervous wreck! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, as I know exactly how you feel. All the best Natalie PS: I'm taking mine in Aldershot. PPS. Mommylonglegs. My provisional licence is so old, that I practically had to go to the Metropolitan Archive to look it up!!! But they do say life begins at forty......so I decided to keep trying until I'm fifty!!!

Good luck Chloe, just do your best and keep a cool head. Oh and don't have the car blocking a zebra crossing whilst waiting to get out onto a roundabout, that's how I failed mine! Andy.
