I would be against another bank holiday. Give me a day I can use when i want not when I am told to. However I would move the early May holiday to November 11th., the actual day not the nearest Monday. All the rememberance services could then be held at the correct time rather than the Sunday. Bob

Hi Christine, I agree with Nell. In addition, there ought to be less school holidays in the summer, lol! Don't tell my kids that, though! Glenys x

We should be bought in line with Europe on bank holidays they have quite a few more than us, we have tow the line on other issues with Europe why not one to benefit us.

Christine lot of other countries have many more bank holidays than us. ( can't remember the exact details) About time we caught up!!!!!!!

Christine Yes! In fact I think we should work shorter hours in the winter because everyone is more sluggish and shorter hours in the summer so we can really enjoy the sunshine! nell

The T.U.C. are trying to get the Government to introduce 3 more bank holiday days in to the year. One will be at the end of October, to break the 'slog', as they called it, between the end of summer and xmas!.. Do we all welcome more holiday days in the year?..
