My mum is changing my name

You can change your name if you want, I changed my name last year, but your Mam can't, not legally anyway. M. |

Before I was born, Mum was convinced that I was a boy, so she and Dad named me Martin for the time being. Then out popped this baby girl, so they had to change it! Not having learnt their lesson the first time, when Mum was expecting again, she and Dad thought Dawn was a sweet name. What happened? Jeff made his way into the world. Still undeterred, but a bit cautious this time, as December grew near, they thought that the 3rd baby would be either Christopher or Christine, as baby was due around Xmas. Aah, success this time with Christopher. I dare your Mum to call you Kezia in front of people; I bet she doesn't stick to it! Love the name, though. But what's wrong with Beverley? Glenys. P.S. Go on Brian, tell us! |

When I first read this, I thought you were joking but now I'm not sure! Is your mum seriously wanting to change your name even though you're 43?!! I love the name Kezia, after reading a book which had a character with that name (I think it was one of the original Danielle Steeles from years ago). Don't know about you, but I get confused enough as it is, without having people call me a different name lol! Mandy :) |

my mum choose my name before i was born, she was sure she was having a girl. dad wanted Michelle & granny wanted Dorothy! since doing family history we have found a Kezia amongst my ancestors, mum said if she had heard that before i was was that is what she would have called me. She then announces to all that she is changing my name to Kezia!!!! I am 43 can she do this??? Bev aka Kezia |
