I often wonder whether I'll recognise any criminals on Crimewatch, do you? Sylvia xxx

About a year ago someone I know recognised a photo on Crimewatch. He was involved in a robbery. My friend ummed and aaahed about whether to phone. She saw this man almost daily, and was scared he would find out that she had reported him. In the end she got a friend who lives 200 miles away to phone. He was convicted and sent to a young offenders institution - came out more of a villain than before he went in! Sue

I always watch Crimewatch, the Dutch "Opsporing", and the German "Alle zeichen....." (forgotten the name now). If I saw somebody I recognised then I wouldn't hesitate to tell the police. Actually I have helped the police on more than one occasion. My son in law is a detective, perhaps thats why. I hate to see innocent people robbed and think why do these robbers think they have a right to steal. There are certainly some dreadful cases you see on t.v. Sylvia xxx
