Gwyneth I live near Lakeside and got my computer at a place in Orsett called Redhouse Computers they are reasonable and sell second hand computers at a good price. The number will be in the phone book. good Luck JO

Doyou mind me suggesting a local computer club. Details from the library about local clubs. The reason why I suggest this is that enthusists like my son are always up dating their pc. You should be able to get a good one quite cheeply. Hope it helps Rose

Thanks for replying Donna. Her daughter found some there but she would rather be able to see it working before she buys. The one she has used until this week was fine but the daisy wheel has broken and she can't locate a replacement for that and wants to make sure that a new machine is reliable.

My friend needs a word processor to use at home. A reliable second hand one would be OK or where can she buy new? She lives in Essex, not far from Lakeside shopping centre. Sorry folks, I know nothing about them but offered to ask our helpful friends here.
