Well I think his middle name was Mary and last was Joseph, 'cause when anything happens in my family they all just say "Jesus Mary Joseph how the **** did you do that!" so I have always assumed that's how he got his name!

Dan - don't get confused when you're checking his tree there's not just one - lots of people called Jesus - but pronounced 'Hey-zeus' Magsx

I think Jacqueline is right. As Joseph and Mary weren't married he would have his mothers maiden name. Regards Keith

So true - Joseph took Mary as his wife. Surnames in those days did not existed if they did it might have been Carpenter for that was Joe's job.
