ITALIAN doctors have warned that trying to see too many artistic or historical artifacts in too short a time can cause dizziness, panic, paranoia - and even madness. They called it Stendhal's syndrome, after a 19th-century novelist who wrote about the disorientation he experienced when seeing masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance in Florence. It's similar to the Jerusalem syndrome, in which tourists are overcome by the mental weight of the city's history.

Daniel - lol, similar to Egyptian 'temple fatigue' I guess. If they're talking about Italian art, though, the only thing thats likely to cause dizziness and panic is trying not to get run over by loony Italian drivers!
