Thanks Frances I think that'll be the best one. With easy access to the areas around Norwich. Jayne

There is a Travel Inn, Broadland Business Park, Old Chapel Way, Norwich. Tel.0870 1977198. It is just off the A47 Southern Bypass and is next door to a Brewsters Fun Factory. It is only about 10 mins from the city centre and has easy access to most routes. Hope that helps. Frances

Thanks Heather, I will investigate the travellers lodge first. I think that'll be ok. Is it not far from the centre? As I'd like to visit the city itself too. I'm hoping my husband will entertain the kids while I do some record searching (that's normally how I do it!!) Also need to visit East Dereham church as we have an ancestors grave there. Thanks for your help Jayne

Hi I live near Norwich. Dont know how close you want to be but there is a Travellers Lodge about 3 miles from the centre, dont think you get cheaper than those do you? Try googling for it. What you doing with the kids whilst you are at the Records Office? Or are you just travelling around the area? If you google Norwich accommodation you may find something you like better nearer amenities as the Travel Lodge is just on the main A11 into the city. There is a Hilton with swimming pool etc. Not sure how pricey they are. Or the Nelson right in the centre overlooking river. Quite a lot of choice. You could always consider renting a place off season flat or cottage.

I want to visit Norwich next March/April for some family history research etc... Can anyone in the area recommend somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay. Would be bringing the kids, so needs to be a family orientated place too. Thanks Jayne
