I've been looking at all the names brought forward as successor to Arafat. I think there is going to be a lot of trouble the next few weeks, burial, choosing new leader etc . When will it all end? Sylvia xxx

Our television is full of debates on who will succeed Yasser Arafat. Many believe of course that he has died, but of course they won't admit it yet. A lot to organise. He wanted to be buried at the Templeberg, but Israel won't allow that. More controversy to follow. Sylvia xxx

Don't know. Know little of their politics. Really compared with us they are still in our Middle Ages. It will be years before they get to grips. It's like Middle Ages versus 21st Century. Most of these countries are still living as they did centuries ago. You can't suddenly bring them up to scratch. Isreal a country we went to holiday on. Up to date for the tourist. Reality. still in the time of Christ. Living nomadic lifestyles that would put you on the location of Ben Hur! Arafat was an old war horse who also did enough killing of his own about 40/50 years ago, for whatever reason. Maybe when they of his generation have gone they might have a chance, only if the ones looking for a peace in that region of the world are living in our century. We all know that suicide bombers are not martyrs they are brainwashed idiots who are carrying out thes instructions for some moron who wouldn't even think of bloowing themselves up! And where in England are they recruiting them. In the Universities. A friend of mine had a son. Promising career. At Uni gets drawn in. Next thing he doesn't sleep in a bed. Why? Gets married has children. Doesn't send them to school. Why?Educating them at home for what. Potential suicide bombers in 20 yrs. Isn't it about time we in this country stopped being really nice and got our teeth sharpened. Otherwise we are going to be the ones with the bite in the bum!
