I've been for a good old rummage through the Parish Records at Pontefract Library. Hubby thinks that I'm really sad spending my day off in the library! Maggy

hi everyone, i was initially going over tonorthwich to spend the weekend with friends there, going shopping in chester also, but that has been cancelled now two weeks from now, so today i am sorting laundry out(gripping isnt it?) but then this evening i am going to a pals for tea and then onto the cinema and lastly a game of ten pin bowling.

I'm off to the FRC to look at some BMDs and also to order some certs I have already found on the web. Then shopping for hubby's 30th b'day pressie and my mother in law's b'day pressie. Hubby is picking own pressie as all he ever wants is books, and since he has over a 1000 of them (and rising....) it can be a challenge to find one by an author he likes and hasn't got already....

I'm off to the Family History Fair at Woking Leisure Centre soon, hoping to meet up with a few other members there. This evening I'm having my parents and sister round for tea followed by a little fireworks party in our back garden. Enjoy the day whatever you're doing. Carolyn

Just had a look over the garden fence into the park. Buzz of activity as they set up the bonfire and firework display for this evening. About 16,000+ people will be literally in my back garden. All great fun.

Dont know where you are Jo, but its very wet here in the Northwest, I had planned on getting the BBq and garden furniture away but I think that will wait for a dry day. I think it may well be another research weekend but I daren't plan anything these days, something always happens to ruin them. Have a nice weekend. June xx

It looks as though it might be a dryish weekend. So we shall be doing the rockery which is well overgrown and the rocks have 'dissapered'. Putting a new curtain rail up. Fairly mundane things really. Anyone doing anything exciting? Jo.
