I am a welsh boy. Used to play 2nd Row for my Uni, now I only play once a year for the Old Boys Match against the current team for the Uni. It absolutly kills me but its good fun.

Bryan, Haven't Wales picked up this year! Almost like the days of JPR etc. Been playing so well. What a shame that they didn't get a last minute score today to win. I am in a bit of a quandry when it comes to supporting the home nations as I and hubby are English, my mum is Irish, his mum is Welsh and my son lives in Wales with my 2 Welsh grandsons! It's ok when any of them are playing non British teams! Jacky - confused. PS Husband's uncle tried for Wales but failed a medical. Cousin played for Pontypridd.

Hi all, I used to play no.7 (flanker), until 2 slipped discs put paid to that! I played league and union and stayed with union, but I did manage to win a gold medal in France for R.L.

Love the game! Have watched the Internationals / 5 / 6 Nations since with my husband (34 years). Go to watch local team Bees when we can (time and money!). Go to Twickenham as often as possible and this year I won 2 tickets to the Powergen Cup Final played in Reading which was the same weekend as the Heineken final which we also had tickets to. A weekend to remember - England 2 France 0. Must go and catch the end of the Aussie / Scotland match. Scotland win on Anthems though. Flower of Scotland - brilliant. Jacky :-)

I don't have much interest now (for me, it lost something when the game turned professional) but I mis-spent part of my youth on the terraces at Kingsholm, lets hear it for GLAWSTER!!! Sheila

Jim You should know that I am - see my thread re WASPS! I've been a supporter since I was introduced to the game by my boyfriend (now husband, who was unable to get a game today - he plays for the local team 4ths, or 2nds, or 3rds). Both our boys play, younger one is in mini rugby, older one in first season of juniors, but he is also his year's school team captain and he goes to the same school as Joe Worsley used to. nell
