Our condolences and thoughts are with the families that lost loved ones in this tragic accident. My thoughts are also with the family of the car driver, if it does turn out that he committed suicide then no doubt the media/press are going to dig all through his life and drag out any juicy tidbits to spread all across the papers, the family, like the others, not only have to deal with their own grief, probably guilt as well because they couldn't/didn't stop him, guilt that their father/husband was responsible for the deaths of innocent people and they are going to end up with their lives shredded in the public domian. I feel very sorry for them Kxx

The rumour round here is the driver stopped there intentionally..... a suicide!! The poor poor people that were taken with him is just his stupidity!!

Another terrible tragedy. I too saw the recent programme with the man going undercover, and it was frightening.

It's minutes from where I live and it's sent the whole of this area into a panic.... no-one can quite believe what is happening! My husband was on the very next train out of Paddington to Newbury.... there but by the grace of god.... I have lit a candle for those that have passed and for those that have lost a family member or friend.... My heart really does go out to everyone and I hope the injured recover very very soon. God bless them all!!

Like Maz said it always seem to happen around Christmas I think England must have the highest rate of train crashes. My prayers to all of those people and their families. Debs.

How awful, those poor people. My sister uses that train every day twice a day from Theal. The first thing I did was ring her and thankfully she is at home. I hope they get the trapped people out very soon. Sheila
