Thanks all. Her name was Margaret Sweaton (nee Tye), and she died on 11/11/1974 I think. She was from the Pontefract area of west yorkshire and died in leeds, aged 36. I know that she had at least 2 brothers and one sister but that's about all. She was buried in pontefract. I've tried loads of names on here and sent so many e-mails that I've almost (actually) lost track. The two Tye's that are in the phone book for pontefract, I took the liberty of calling them, are not as far as they know any relative.

Hi all, I've been trying to find relatives of my grandma, who died in 1974 when I was just a few months old. She has a relatively un-common name but I still seem at a loss as to where to look next. I've tried the familysearch site (which is closed for upgrades), and all the rest seem a bit expensive. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
