Up until last year the oldest family photo was probably that of my Grandfather in full Blackwatch uniform, kilt and all from WW1. Last year when I started researching my husbands family, I found lots of pictures online of his GGrandfather and other family portraits dating back to mid 1800's. Famous photographers Hill and Adamson had taken lots of the fishwives and fishermen of Newhaven (Midlothian) many of which are hubby's rellies, which are now in various galleries. Christine

Until several months ago, my earliest "brickwall" side was around 1926. My aunt gave me quite a few photos in April and now I have either a photo of my brickwall ancestor himself! or his daughter-in-law's father. Either way, the photo is dated between 1860's and 1871.

Mines my GG Grandmother taken in 1880's or so. My brother thought it was me dressed in an old fashioned outfit and that I'd had a sepia picture taken! Naomi
