The directions above will prevent attachements from being removed from the e-mail. A bit like censorship.....some files, like Excel files for example, are picked up as being a possible virus.....Outlook Express really can't determine whether or not something has a virus or not.....it's just assuming that it MAY be a virus and then removing the attachment from the e-mail. As long as your anti-virus program is update to date you should have no problems with viruses. Judy |

If Out look Express is the cause, to solve the problem, do this: 1. Open your Outlook Express. 2. At the top of the screen click on TOOLS. 3. From the drop down box that appears click on OPTIONS. 4. A screen will appear with labeled tabs....click on the SECURITY tab. 5. On this page, unmark: DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHEMENTS TO BE SAVED OR OPENED THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BE A VIRUS. 6. At the bottom of the screen click on APPLY and then OK. Problem should be solved. Judy |

You may be having problems opening e-mail with attachments if the e-mail has more than one file (ie 2 or 3 photo's opposed to just 1) if you don't have a program like WINZIP on your PC. E-mails that contain multiple attachments needs a program that will "unzip" the attachment on your end. (No special software is needed to send multiple attachments and no special software is needed to open a single file attachement.) If you don't already have Winzip you can obtain it on their webiste at www.winzip(.)com - remember to remove the ( ) from the address. There is a free EVALAUTION version of the program. Although you may get a message that the evaluation version has a time limit on it's free use, I've found that it works countless times. Judy |

June, are you using outlook express? They may be blocking the photos, maybe you need to 'allow' them somewhere. Ann Glos |
