as you all know im pregnant and i went to the doctors and had all my bloods done and it came back i have the hepatitis c antibody anybody know what this means and is it really bad im still in shock we think it came from me having blood when i was 3 when i had open heart surgery

Kylie, try this site, http://www.*cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/hepatitis/c/faq.htm remove the star(*) Wendy, true, but doesnt it also mean that you have been exposed to it, but have got over it?

i dont know if thats what it means but the doctor has sent me for more tests and hopefully i will be ok

Sorry, I don't know anything except that, I have a type of heamophilia and need to be checked yearly for hep. I've just had to have the jabs a few weeks ago, and am now covered in case I need a blood transfusion. I'll give my mum a call and ask if she knows anything.
