Hi, I found the Scotland's People website to be expensive and a con as 5 credits used in searching each record out of 30 and £6 for a week's viewing. Is there any other way I can view census records for Scotland without having to use that website, preferrably for free. |

Thanks, did think that but its so much easier to do things online than trail through records. I'll need to not be so lazy and take a trip once I find out the local office. |

Hi Kathryn, you could try this site but it is a bit of a hit and miss if you find anything. http://www.censusfinder.*com/scotland.htm remember to remove* Christine |

For the 1881 census go to Family Search Internet Geneology Services, it's the Latter Day Saints web site and it's free. |
