CATS CAN YOU GET UP A TREE?? - THREE in my case :O Just looked out the window to see my two kittens up my neighbours cherry tree, with my second eldest cat in hot pursuit!! The blinding headache I am off sick with just suddenly got worse and the neighbours think I'm barmy after seeing me shouting 'Get down!' to a tree LOL.........

lol Ann! At least yours can still get up trees. My cat is nearly 19 and has lost the plot. She spends all day going to the front door crying to be let out only to start crying to be let in 2 minutes later. She won't go out the back cos she can't get over the fence these days. Still at least I'm getting some exercise! lol Jeanette x

Jeanette - exercise? tell me about it!! My kittens have only been going out for the last 2 weeks, but only under supervision, and as you can imagine it's whole new adventure, and they;re fair keeping me on my toes lol! They started off with the trellis dividing me and next door, but they still a little unstable - and that's the worry - I watched them going further and further till they were climbing on twigs!! At this rate they'll never have the freedom to come and go, cos they need a collar on for the magnetic cat flap..........

Well at least they're using trees and trellis to climb Anne. I remember when mine were kittens they used to use me! I was covered in scratches from top to bottom and everywhere else inbetween! lol. It does frighten you when they go up trees though doesn't it. Spanky has just gone for her afternoon siesta on the shelf by the radiator in the hall so I might get a break - unless she forgets what she's supposed to be doing again! lol Jeanette x

Hi Margaret :)) Nope - no bird chasing - altho I think that's what started the first venture yesterday. There was nothing in the tree - no birds - no leaves - just my cats LOL!! It seems the kittens prefer to chew the twigs in the tree - or maybe they just liked the view - and I think Coco just forgot herself and wanted to show me that 'anything they can......' lol Anne

I had a cat who liked to climb the curtains! Wait until you out the Christmas tree up! The cat i have now has never tried to climb that though but he loves to sit under it. Maybe he's waiting for the birds to fall down for him! Jane
