minced pies and christmas puddings.could there be a shortage as they use lard in them and the country has virtually none in the country.i am buying my christmas puddings this week just in case.can live without mince pies but not christmas pud and brandy butterxxxx(:

I don't like mince pies, and my mums already made her christmas puds, so it doesn't bother me at all !!!

lets be honest, in todays times, I don't think a lard shortage is at the top of most people's worry list lol

Problem with the lard is that theres not enough fat pigs - honestly im not taking the pee, we got a memo at work about it.

i can honestly say that i can quite easily live without mince pies and xmas pud! but never can i live without my nannys xmas dinner! her roasties are my fave! and i cant live without my gorgeous grandad, who every xmas tries to get me drunk with him (well doesnt have to try very hard!) xxx

lots of peeps use alternate lard nowdays in cooking Had loads of xmas puds in tescos. But were gonna recycle last years ! we had FIVE xmas puds last year, and two are well in date, so ho ho ok for another year lol E x

Don't know about mince pies, but round here there is a shortage of Branston Pickle, after the news of the fire in their factory, apparently panic buying is the cause!..
