My husband is NOT romantic, but when we were approaching our first wedding anniversary - which is fruit & flowers - I dropped a lot of very unsubtle hints about how nice it would be if he got me some flowers. The morning of our anniversary I was called to the door by a lady from the florists, holding a bouquet so big I couldn't see her behind it! I took them off her and closed the door shouting to my husband "Someone's just sent us a huge bouquet - I think your mother's gone a bit over the top!" I found the card, which HE HAD WRITTEN HIMSELF, which meant he'd had to go into the shop to order them, rather than just phone up. I was thrilled, but he spoilt it all because when I thanked him he said "Make the most of it, I won't do it again!" Though he did get me smaller bouquets when our boys were born. I'm afraid I am now of the attitude - blow the romance, make me a cup of tea and put the washing on! nell |

no steph i had men that didn't do that for a long time.but i have found a true gent now who i have been happily married to for fifteen years.we had a row on saturday i stormed out and when i came back he had gone out and bought me a peace lily ,flowers ,chocolates and a card with slushy words.as you guessed i have forgiven him.steph there are rotten apples and good ones.just finding the right one.love and hugsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(: |
