Where I work, there are only 3 of us 'girls' plus the two cleaners - the rest are men - so you can imagine it's hard to drum up enthusiasm for anything - especially if it costs more than a tenner and they gotta put their hands in their pocket lol. We seem to have cracked it this year tho - having a Christmas Ten Pin Bowling evening - including Santa's Basket Meal - ooooh!

well I'm going to Sharons work do this year instead of ours (it's on the same night). Ours is a crappy (can I say that ?) little thing in our social club - hers is a black tie job in a nice London hotel - mmm difficult choice

As you can imagine, our library parties are really wild affairs ..... not!!! Last year we went to a carvery for a meal - I was indoors by 11.15 - my husband couldn't believe it! This year there was talk of getting Chinese takeaway and eating it IN THE LIBRARY after hours - how exciting would that have been!!! Now it appears we are going OUT for Chinese. Don't expect to have a sore head the next day! Far cry from the Xmas do's we used to have when I worked in travel - hee hee hee, memories!!! Maz. XX

our office have abandoned the plan to have a sperate christmas do, and have decided to go to the one for all people at this site, which is in our sports and social club. very boring - and also on the one night in december that I can't make it, so basically I can't go.
