Makes me sick that in this day & age people feel they have to behave like it. But it amazes me on some american chat shows audience members also make monkey noises when certain guests come out. And mainly it comes from black people to black people !! Elaine x

In fairness, it wasn't the England fans at all. Recently there's been an influx of assylum seekers in our area, which has caused some resentment towards "ethnics" (sorry for the lack of an appropriate word). However, I still don't know anyone who would behave like that. It's disgraceful to think that this can happen nowadays, just because of the colour of skin. The resentment towards assylum seekers is mostly because of the lack of local funding, housing, healthcare etc. for local people. Not because of skin colour.

I really felt for the black players, in particular Seany Wright. It must be really distressing to hear people being so angry and cruel in an atmosphere where you just want to entertain and perform well. P.S. Message to Jose Antonio Reyes - Don't go mouthing off to the press about other players. You play in England for an English club and the more pathetic you are the more reason there is to cut you down to size aka Gary Neville!

I totally agree wit Linda,Sven should have taken the Team??off the pitch, and refused to play there. Hal.

I can however, understand people giving Neville grief. Inbred, freaky-tached git! ;-)

Don't follow football in a major way but maybe the ref should have awarded England a penalty and kept on awarding penalties until the penny had dropped with those responsible. Of course it would never happen but still... ;-)

Good idea Andy...... and maybe we could win that way.

to be honest, apart from (or including ?) kicking Reyes up in the air a few times... I thought Neville was our best defender

the ref should have stopped the game, its not the teams job to walk off . Karen

The referee had no grasp of the game from the start. Not to discount some of the challenges, but teh Spaniards did fall over at the drop of a hat and got a free kick every time - and it was never a penalty.

Paul i didn't watch the game so i'm only going on what i've seen on the news but as the supposed authority he should have been the one to stop the game.if our players had walked off we would have recieved some stick for that. it makes me so mad when they go on about the violent english supporters and how they'll be banned from games but this is just as bad and the spanish supporters should be banned

Craig

Craig Report 18 Nov 2004 14:25

I'm not suggesting otherwise Paul. I'm merely stating that he is an inbred, freaky-tached git! And kicking Reyes up is actually a point in his favour!!!

The tache is a bit pathetic, I'll give you that. He does take a lot of unwarranted stick though, he's normally pretty dependable (and as the song goes "he hates scousers" which is a good thing in my book).. Have you seen the "Gary Neville Diaries" that do the rounds every now and then ? very funny.

the spanish supporters should be ashamed of themselves.like they said on G.M.T.V they have black players in their teams in spain so why the hell did they do it.they should be repremandedxxxx(:

Bec

Bec Report 18 Nov 2004 15:44

Paul - Chunky Monkey I totally agree. Anyway nothing wrong with some dominant challenging! John Terry went for reyes a few times but what do you expect when you run to the papers, crying because you got a couple of bruises! As for Ashley Cole, my point was that maybe he is injured but I'm more than aware that he's been out on the party circuit for the last week boozing away! becx
