I have just spent most of my night trying to update my family tree and got so confused that I have deleted half of it! Why? Because GR won't let us enter cousins who marry each other! My grandparents were cousins and to keep my tree right, I was trying to enter their decendants twice. It got so complicated that I gave up and deleted them. Will try again after a good nights sleep!! GR keep saying that they will sort this problem, but we are still waiting. A very frustrated Maggy |

Hi Jeanette, Bit fed up now, have deleted about 100 names. Will put them all back tomorrow. When will they sort this for us? My family tree programme does it so it can't be that difficult. Maggy |

Hi Maggie, This is why I don't add to my tree anymore. I have enough names on here to alert anyone that may have a connection. I have in one family 3 sisters who married 2 brothers and one of their (the brothers) cousins, from another family. Try getting round that on here! I also have around a dozen other instances of similar marriages between two already existing families. GC have been promising to change this for as long as I have been a member (about 18mths) but we're still waiting! This is the only site, I have come across, where linking existing families by marriage, is not allowed. Debbie |

My problem is that one of my Great Uncles married his brother's wife (after they were divorced). I have had to enter her twice, but had to stop there as all their relations were doubled up! Sue |

Feeling a bit happier today, have got some of them put back in there! Not trying to repeat them all though, found myself going round in circles yesterday! Just decided to follow one line instead. Maggy |

Yes as a newie to this I get confused too. I don't know whether to delete the whole lot and start again. Cynical old me, maybe they've made their zillions and don't care! |
