This is the bread pudding recipe that i use has come out of grandmas cook book, Half a pound of stale white bread, 3oz brown sugar,6oz mixed fruit,1 Egg ,2oz suet chopped finely, half to three quarters pint of milk. mixed spice (the more you put in of mixed spice the better it tastes) Remove crusts from bread break in to small peices put in to basin and soak with cold water for an hour, squeeze the bread as dry as possible add the fruit suet sugar spices add beaten egg and milk to make a fairly slack smooth mixture , put in to well buttered dish and bake for at least two hours untill top is crisp and brown, i cover mine with foil for the first hour of cooking , gas no 4 sorry you will have to covert for electricty. Enjoy Margaret
