Whittlesey straw bear fair...and Prince Charles

Some time ago, in the darkness of time, it came to pass that Prince Charles was to visit the Straw Bear festival, in Whittlesey.All the dignitries were there to welcome him, and when he got out of the car, the mayor was amazed to see that Chas was wearing a Fox on his head after the style of a Davy Crockett raccoon hat......... Well being a bit shy, he said nothing and after all the events , and time for the Prince to leave they stood at the car waving him off..However he could contain himself no more and tapped on the window of the car, it wound down and Chas said "Yes? My man"?,(as they do) and the mayor, ( All 'umble) says "excuse me sir, but i am curious abot the fox hat you are wearing, usually you would have a more fitting apparrel"... "Yes" Says Charles, "That was Mummy's Idea, When we were talking at breakfast about where we were going, She's opening some bridge, or other, I told her about the Whittlesey bash, She said" " Whittlesey ??? Oh!! where the fox' s hat!!!!!!..................Boom Boom........ |
