anyone from Essex!!!! I was born in Leytonstone But i have lived in Essex since 1959 for my sins lol Helen:-))))))))))))

My grandmother was an essex girl - from Leytonstone : )) Her mother too was an essex girl from Grt Clacton as was her mother and so on. So I have essex blood in me : )) Much happiness Debi

when i was born in leytonstone it came under London E11 We moved to Brentwood in Essex when i was 7 and i have stayed here ever since, all my children were born in Romford Harold wood hospital and they have also stayed in Brentwood If anyone is coming this way let me know and you can call in and have a cuppa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Mum came from Leytonstone, a long while ago, she lived at 26 Temple Way!..

Mum was born in Stratford, when it was still Essex. All her grandfather's side are from Essex - Ongar area. I am in Walthamstow now, about a mile from the Essex border and Epping Forest. Maz. XX

I was born in Aveley and lived in North Stifford and Upminster. Dad born in Loughton and Mum in Chadwell St Mary. So I am Essex through & through. Weird thing is I now live in Lincolnshire, which we have recently discovered is where my Dad's family originated from in the 1800's - amnd we always thought they were London/Essex born too! Didn't think Wife Swap the other week did Essex women any favours, though. :-(

Yay! I was born in Dagenham in 1956, then lived in Basildon 2-3 years later, then moved to Elm Park, Hornchurch until we moved to Devon in 1964. Still consider myself Essex girl, despite the jokes! Glenys x

I was born in Harold Wood Hospital Romford...then grew up in Upminster, then went on to Elm Park, Purfleet, back to Hornchurch and now im in South Ockendon! xxxx

by 1985 i had already puffed and panted 3 times my last one was in 1976!!! South okendeon looks nice especially when its chritmas the house always look nice not a lover of lakeside though Love Helen xx

Helen, is it North Ockendon you drive through? they do have some nice places round there, mind you, i suppose its like any other area, some bits are nice, some bits arent. I used to live down lakey, its got nicer since they have re done it. I used to work there, but hardly ever go now though unless i wanna be on my own for a while, then i just trot down there! xx

Ooo Steph - when I was at school there was a lot of rivalry between Aveley & Ockendon schools. Where in Upminster did you live? I was Maple Ave - off Corbets Tey Road (1987-1991). Aveley looks really run down now - the result of Lakeside I think. North Ockendon is lovely.

we go through south okendon, through the houses i know it used to have a bit of a reputation but i think its quite nice. where i live you couldnt get anyone to live here, really bad, shootings the lot, but now everyone wants to live in my house and there just isnt room!!!!!!!!!!! But its as you say good and bad everywhere Love Helen xx

Carol, i lived in the village off Upminster, you will know where im talking about, went to Hall Mead school! yeh i think there is stil rivarly between aveley and ockendon, but people from Grays always come down to Ockendon too now. Helen, i can5t stand it, my old mate mem used to live just by me, and i was at his flat one night, as i left a car pulled up, i thoguht nothing of it, 10 mins later mem phoned me, the guys in the car had run into mems flat, and had broken our friends shouder with the back of an axe....they had heard that there was a stash of drugs in his flat, but there wernt. I cant stand it, it would be a nice place, its just the people round there bring it down! xxxx
