Yes, you might be right but who pays for those tests. Presumably it's the tax payer in most cases. That's us. And is probably why "Tricia" gets to do so many shows about DNA testing I should think. I'm in favour of testing primarily for medical reasons but as a matter of fact it will put paid to all the uncertainty; if every child was tested as a matter of course, in the future there would be no point in lying or denying. Oh Dear. I was thinking on the lines of catching Murderers, Rapists, Sex Offenders Etc. Did not think about the poor fathers who get shocks finding out that they are not the real father of children. But at the same time. In years to come there is going to be so much Interbreading, surely we are going to get a lot more birth abnormalities. Jenny.

Think it would be a good idea. Put it on a police database, then they can match up from scene of crime DNA and solve their mysteries, save us all a load of money!!

On the other hand Linda, it would put a stop to all the denials as well. I wouldn't personally care who had the information but I know others would. It's a huge discussion area. Jan

The ID CARD thread has prompted me to ask this question. ....... I strongly believe that all new babies born, should be DNA tested immediatley at birth. What do you all think???? Jenny
