Thank you Maz and I now formally take the pledge. I'm still not sure exactly how I managed it last night and am now left contemplating how to fix the curtain pole. Being an old house, quite a bit of plaster and wall came down as well. May need to call in the cavalry (AKA my Dad). Louise
