Protests in Sydney this morning

Hi all, Did you see on the news about the commuters in Sydney this morning? They all refused to pay their train fares and the government caved in and opened all the gates! After my journey to work this morning I can certainly see where they are coming from. I was half an hour late due to signalling problems on the tube. Londoners, reckon this approach would work here or just make things even worse? Their point was, why should they pay when they are getting really appalling services, surely the lack of revenue from that day would just mean fewer improvements? So what do you think and would anybody be brave enough to start the same protest her? |
