I thought it was bad luck to leave them up after the 12th day - 6th January but you could take them down before then. If they are up after the 6th Jan then you are supposed to leave them up until Easter? |

As late as possible and as little as possible, can't stand a load of clutter. I think the bad luck is supposed to be taking them down before the 12th day of Xmas, i.e 6th Jan |

Before our children arrived we did the whole putting up decs on christmas eve.........but it usually was just a tree ( real ) and decorated whilst we wrapped and drunk snowballs and listening to Nat King cole & Phil spectar christmas songs lol. NOW we start the 1st weekend in december and have been doing this since our eldest 9 now 12 ) started Nursery :)) This year we will have 3 trees ( one for the kids, one for me and one outside ) and the one for me I will decorate on christmas eve whilst wrapping and drinking snowballs LOL!! Happy Holidays -x- |

Don't wish to cause a riot, but isn't it bad luck to put tree etc. up early? I thought it was 12 days before Christmas or am i getting confused with the 12 days of Christmas song? Tricia |

One or two houses are already trimmed up for Chrismas near where I live. I love Crimbo and usually put them up the first weekend in December. This year it's the 1st on a Wednesday and I'm toying with the idea of putting them up this weekend cos I'm not sure I can hold out till the 4th! :-))) How about you? |
