Gillian you will need to look at parish records for baptisms held in record offices.and you might find some online by searching parish records [name of place] happy hunting sandra |

Hi, Had a look at the IGI there are about 58 Thomas Hindley or similar, why not have a look, you may recognise the one you are looking for, I put in date for 1786 & two years either sid, if you know the name of the parents then opefully he will be there Good luck |
