Pat My husband had the exact same problem. he had received no mail fromEbay asking for details etc, but one day when he went to log on he couldn't. He thought it was strange, but the next day he got a mail form someone with details of the item he was wanting to buy!!!. he received serveral of these, then he finally received one saying that his request to change his e-mail address was successful!!!! H econtacted ebay as soon as the e mail started coming but have to got to say they didn't appear to bothered that someone else was using his name etc. He used the 'live chat' to sort the problem and the first person he spoke to was a pratt!!!!! They kept saying we'll send you a mail click on the link and change the password, but of course he couldn't as the hackers had changed his password. For love nor money could he make this person see that!!! He tried again the next day and got a Different person who sorted it in a matter of minutes. Nothing else was hacked just his ebay account. And we managed to stop any bidding or selling while the problem was on going. I mailed the people direct when they sent us info on items he was supposedly bidding on, warning them of the problem. Touch wood no problems since Shelli

Hi Crista. No it wasn't like that, when it came I said to other half I'd read something like that. I'm sure it was from ebay, as I asked them for my ID name and they sent it. Pat

Well what a cheek, my hubby lives on ebay, tonight had email from them, saying that they had changed email address as requested. We haven't asked for that. when I contacted them, they said that a third party had requested it and had been bidding using that address. So some one has got into our account. Have phoned bank.. My heads spinning after trying to sort it, now can't log on as our ID name is invalid, although ebay sent it to us, to confirm. Sitting here with steam coming out of my ears.. Pat
