Hoping my son will manage to last the distance - I think he's just thinking about his first pay packet at the mo! I LOL out at the hair pulling, I've been to a few "salons" where you pay extra for that kind of treatment, with extra surliness thrown in. Saz

I was 14 when I had my first Saturday job. It was the local hairdressers where the 'blue rinse' brigade would pile in. We used to use big brush rollers in those days. I was told to take out this woman's rollers. Well she had very bleached and very permed hair. The first roller was stuck would'nt budge, she complained that I was hurting her, so me being a logical thinker, I thought if I pulled it really quick and hard that would be the end of the pain for her. So I did, only I pulled her hair out as well. She made an enormous fuss and needless to say I was sacked on the spot. End of Hirdressing career. Jo.

My first was with BHS - worked in the Customer restaurant - it was HELL!! I did 2 weeks out of the 4 that I was employed then jacked it in. Went on to get a great little job at Allders of Croydon working in the offices - stayed with it until I left school and had a fab time :))
