i've just paid 2 view my great grandad's war medal index card - only to find it doesn't say anything about where he fought just he got the british & victory medal. GRRRRR |

I had known wehre my granda and his brother were - roughly - and got the medal cards the other night - so I was lucky - have applied for their service records and my mum and dads too - cos mum was in palestine during the war :-) |

Do the National Archives post service records at all, or do you have to visit?, any one know.. |
