Hi Sue I am on Wanadoo and had the same trouble when i was first connected. What i did was put a filter on my phone line as it comes from the wall socket the other filter on my extention lead as it connects to the computor. With Wanadoo they gave me 2 filters in with my package. Hope you can understand what i am trying to say. Val

Don't forget you can't have more than 4 things plugged into your phone line

SUE, If you have more than one telephone from your BT socket[i have 3] you need to change your filters around to find out which one is stopping your broadband connection,my PC is in a bedroom and i had the exact same problem as you so i changed my filters around ,you can buy extra filters but i didn't bother i know that if i answer a certain phone it will cut me off broadband but then you just re-connect. I am with F/serve now Wannadoo. Chrissy.

Hi Sue I've got broadband too and cannot run it through a regular phone extension cable so have to sit in this particular chair! My hubby told me which kind of cable I would need to get but can't remember and he's in bed! Joanne i know this doesn't help, but you hadn't got any replies to your thread so wanted to put one on for you:)

I had a few problems at first - until I realised I had to fit a DSL filter on each extension socket. Hitherto I had only fitted one to the main telephone inlet socket. The filters are described as BT ADSL MF 50. item code 011249 and I had 3 come with the modem. len

had the same problem. you need a flat phone cable, go to Currys or Dixson and ask. Tell them its for Broad band. check your conections as well. I had to bye an adaptor. It cost me about £25 with adaptor if I remeber right. Argos and Index do them as well but have no Idea what your talking about. look in there catalog under phone extentions and you will find them they will say for broadband next to it.
