She The woman(she is 50yrs old) that hit her brother with rhubarb is from North Yorkshire. Seemingly she threw 3 sticks of rhubarb at her brother (who is 72) and they hit him in the eye. He must have called the police because she is due to be sentenced sometime this week. Sorry but when I read it on Teletext I burst out laughing, thought it was so funny. So everybody DO NOT throw rhubarb at anyone because you may get done for assault/GBH. Sue

Thought it funny too. It brought back memories of when I was pregnant with my first daughter. Standing in kitchen. Hubby said something which got up my nose. Picked up the first thing to hand to throw at him. Satsumas in a string bag. Disaster, missed him and smashed a pain of glass in the sliding door.

My brother and I would NEVER have thrown anything edible at each other! My dad was 10 years younger than his eldest brother, who was a tormenting, teasing person. One day he was aggravating my dad, who picked up a carrot and threw it at his brother who ducked, and it broke the window. Whereapon their dad punished Jim because he ducked! - reasoning that he deserved to be hit with a carrot and if he had been hit, it would have saved the window! nell

I said something out of turn once and my (now ex) threw a bag of fish and chips at me. However, I wasn't playing by the rules so I caught it and threw it back.
