Amanda, It doesn't necessarily mean you have contacted them about the surname. If you contact a person via the site, for any reason at all, and they just happen to have someone in their tree with the same surname that you are looking for, it will say 'contacted' against it, so it could be just coincidence. Now I've really confused you, haven't I !! lol Kim |

it will say " contacted " when you have contacted about a certain name...... and every other name they have on their tree will say contacted too, otherwise you might contact people again and again !!! hope this makes sense !!! andrea |

Its a surname that is the same as one of mine but i have only contacted a couple of people and i dont think they have anything to do with those names. |

I think it means that at some time you have contacted that person who has added that name to there tree ,is it a name that is in your tree? Val |

Just wondering when you look up the names that have been put on GR in the last 7 days why do some of them have Contacted in red by the side of them. I am still quite new to this and was just wondering Many thanks |
