Another set of words - some are similar (Sing to the tune of ‘My Favourite Things’ from “The Sound of Music”) Aspirin and nose drops and needles for knitting Zimmers and handrails and new dental fittings Bundles of magazines tied up with string These are a few of my favourite things. Motor cars, cataracts, hearing aids, glasses Polident, Fixodent, false teeth and glasses Pacemakers, golf carts, and porches with swings These are a few of my favourite things. When the pipes leak, when the bones creak when the knees go bad Then I remember my favourite things and then I don’t feel so bad. Hot tea with lemon, and corn pads for bunions, No spicy hot food nor food cooked with onions Bathrobes and heat pads and hot meals they bring These are a few of my favourite things. Back pain, confused brain, and no fear of sinning Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinning We won’t even mention our shrunken frames When we remember our favourite things When the joints ache, when the hips break, when my eyes grow dim, Then I remember the great life I’ve had And then I don’t feel ---------- so bad!

Christine At 56 I find it quite amusing - can identify with a few things and I wonder just where does an artificial leg fit in John

Just picture Julie Andrews singing this song at a senior citizens concert. It is sung to her favourite song from The Sound of Music. Try it you’ll be surprised how good at it you are. [I received these words recently]
