***** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***** The Leicester & Rutland Family History Society Library in Free School Lane Leicester. Will CLOSE PERMANENTLY Thurday 23rd. December 2004. at 9.00 pm. and will reopen at a new venue yet to be found. This is due to the redevelopment of the Shires Shopping Centre....... MIKE.

Thanks Mike, do they have different things to Wigston? don't suppose Wigston is big enough to hold both, have they any ideas where they want to go yet? Jane x

Greeting's again Jane...... The Library has GRO records of BMD 's Plus loads of other records...... Doubt if records Office at Wigston could hold these... I heard on the radio the other day LRFHS was looking at a disused Church but didn't give out the location. But you still have the Loughb'o group which is still open.... MIKE.

Mike, can you believe they're trying to close the Loughborough office down too, they reckon it costs them too much, have already closed it down 1 day a week. But then again for what records they have got it's easier to get them from Wigston, it's pretty useless! and i haven't even got any branches from Loughborough......... they're all from Leicester !!! Jx

Greeting's Again Jane..... That's Sad....... Best get any research done then before the 23rd. But I can't see them closed for very long though Otherwise we'll be asking for a refund.....lol. But there again you know were I am ( But make um easy M'Duck ???....) I've a feeling I'm going to be busy ? ...lol :0))) MIKE.
