Viv Hope you feel better now. Glad to hear the stories. Details about behind the scenes tour at Kew is on their website. I think you may have to pre-book. As for my day, it wasn't exciting, but I did catch up on all the washing, found my younger son's homework that was due in on Friday, dusted and vacuumed downstairs and got the trees and decorations out of the loft. Big tree is now up, but I am going to add the decorations a bit at a time. I like to take them down one at a time too, instead of having it all glittery and then all bare. nell

I went to Kew. Wow, what a great day !! On the down side, my other half (who always found this boring !!) has been bitten by the bug...... and I spent all day looking for his family, not mine !! If anyone gets the chance to go on a behind the scenes tour, do it !! They do them every Saturday apparently. andrea

Helen, Went to Hertford. It was good. Lots of people helping everyone in sight! Did my best to keep away! 2 family history societies...Bucks and Herts. Joined the Herts and got given lots of info. Film, fiche and computers being used everywhere with the experts helping those that hadn't got a clue. Lots of maps, directories, books and images of Herts towns and villages. (brilliant ones of Hitchin and Letchworth). Was a really nice afternoon (didn't get there till 1pm, not well) Hope you had a good day Viv
