Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 5 Dec 2004 15:36

Ive just been clamped. £90 of my hard earned money to get the vehicle released. Doing a favour for my daughter. Lives on small private estate with no parking bays just a yellow line. I was collecting a settee they didn't need. Have run upstairs and assisted in bringing it down one flight of stairs and I've been clamped. What an utter disgrace. The rear doors were open so he knew someone would return within minutes. He has not even allowed 5 mins, but gone straight for the jugular. Which is what I wanted to get him by, and other parts of his anatomy. These private clamping companies are like vultures, they would pick your bones clean. Rang the supervisor, very sympathetic and said to appeal. What's the chances of getting my money back. Zilch. Well for starters the local papers are getting a letter and I'm going to bombard them and the housing association who employ them, even if it is just to make a point. It's about time they were reigned in. They are raking in millions and making peoples lives a miser. Are they related to traffic wardens?
