Put up christmas decs this morning with hubby and nephew. Started decorating the tree and in one of my bags containing tinsel I found a very special bouble. Last christmas I took my 4 year old niece out for the day shopping and we both picked a bouble with feathers around it, she put hers on her tree at home and I put mine on my tree. We always said that before we went to bed we would kiss the boubles goodnight and her kiss would travel to me and vice versa. In April this year my sister, her partner and my niece moved to Cornwall (I live in Suffolk). I have missed her terribly (I have seen her a few times, but not every day like before). When I found my special bouble this morning it just made me realise how much I have missed her and I just couldnt bear the pain I felt, it has been with me all day....

awww honey - I know exactly how you are feeling. but just think - when your little niece sees HER bauble she will remember the lovely time she had with you buying it - and she wouldnt want you to feel sad.

Aah, that's lovely Joanne, I have a very old pink bauble that was my Nanna's, it went on her tree every year, and an old small hanging lavender bag, that was Gran's, they both go on the tree every year, then I like to look at them and remember... the memories and love that they both hold are priceless :)
