Articles on Christmas in the workhouse, Cornish tin miners, American Archives and a eally interesting article on marrying in The Fleet Prison. fleet prison and Fleet marriages, records held at Kew. People could pay for marriages to be 'antedated' i.e. given a date of several months before the actual wedding date. No wonder we are confused looking for them.
