Annoying things we're stuck with.

Why are we stuck with a GREAT. Why can't we just have a 6th Grandad instead of a 5th Great grandad? What other little annoyances are there. P.S. If anyone mentions names of GR members I will delete the thread.

I agree. It is also confusing that my grandad is my grandad, whilst his brother is my great uncle. And the next generation back is great grandad but great great uncle. Oh and while we're on the subject I hate the term "removed" when talking about cousins. It sounds like they've been surgically separated or carried off by aliens. Angela

My Yougest D insists that she is an Alien. Bless her, she recently turned 30.

Me arthritic hip! But in the spirit of the thread, where the hell was my Grandad between 1929 and 1935 - my mum never saw him, and she though maybe prison, or ran away with another woman.

I personally sympathise with the IBS as well! Another annoying thing I'm stuck with is neighbours who go so overboard with xmas lights they drain the national grid. We can probably be seen from Mars! Angela
