So, it’s right to abuse somebody on the grounds that they have only been a member for two days? I checked the threads. We can’t get a flavour of discussions any earlier than 6 December. Nobody joining now would know the wonderful, lively discussions there have been on these boards in the past, unless they searched. We’ve all been saying that it’s fine for anyone to contribute, then leap down their throats if their opinion doesn’t agree with ours. We cannot expect GR to monitor these boards as there is just too much on them. I often arrive to the scorched earth of deleted threads and recriminations, with no idea of what the original argument was about. All I would like is a maximum to the number of threads that anyone can create at one time. The General Board has looked threatening recently, rather than welcoming. That has to be a bad thing. B

There are loads of other gen sites that do monitor the boards, very regularly. I've had e-mails before now telling me if I've inadvertently put something on the wrong board - say "looking for" on a "General" - and they tell me they've moved it and where to. Jan

So its ok for someone to come on these boards & critisise threads such as the antidepressant debate, which was neither abusive, or nasty ? Allen has been a member for 2 days and storms onto the board, throwing critisism around like confetti. Now I havent anything against new members, or how many times they choose to post but those who jump in and complain about threads which dont warrant it ,in such a rude way , must expect some flack Elaine x
