Could anyone help with where I can find a Death Registered between 1910 and 1984, apart from 1837. I am trying to find out when my Grandfather died. Many thanks Linda

Try ringing the larger libraries in your area. Big ones will have the GRO index on microfiche. Or you can contact the local registry office where he died. Or try your nearest LDS (Mormon) family history centre. Or ask on the Record Office board if anyone is going to the FRC!!! Hope one of these works for you! Maz. XX

Beware of death records, my local registrar told me never to trust them, and as he has been family researching for 25 years I reckon he has inside knowledge. To prove his point, I have a family member who according to the cemetery burial records, was buried a month before he died according to the GRO.

I doubt if anyone going to the FRC wants to go through 296 volumes of death registers (74 years x 4 quarters)! nell
